New competences in the automotive Industry: follow-up of the workshop

The workshop ‘New competences in the automotive Industry’, co-organised by the Stuttgart Region and the DRIVES partnership, took place on 25th February, 2021.

The workshop speakers were Jakub Stolfa (Technical University of Ostrawa, Czech Republic), Sabine Stützle-Leinmüller (WRS GmbH, Germany), Anna Spechtenhauser (Stuttgart Region European Office), Richard Messnarz (ISCN, Austria) and Damjan Ekert (ISCN, Austria).

Presentations addressed the emerging job roles in the automotive sector, the DRIVES developed training courses and the DRIVES Learning Platform.

The workshop attracted a good mix of stakeholders, such as representatives from training providers, the chamber of commerce, the responsible ministry, OEMs, SMEs and labour agencies.

Participants joined a lively discussion after the outcomes of the project were presented. They all showed great interest in the DRIVES project, especially the different opportunities to join the online training platform and the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) (video explaining how to register).
